There were several individuals in the crowd last night from the Detroit chapter of the Melvis Fan Club. Mel put on quite a show for them, pulling out all the stops. In a rare move he invited the VIPs onstage for his traditional closing number, "My Way", and had them sing along. Despite their vocal enthusiasm, I think you would agree that Melvis' voice clearly shines through them like a bluejay among pigeons. A robin among crows? A parrot among vultures? I don't know, it's late.

I would just like to state as a member of the local chapter of the Melvis Fan Club that I greatly enjoyed meeting the members of our Detroit Chapter and hope that they will find the time to visit again soon. As always of course - it's Melvis who's the real star here - but it was great to see his fans out to support him.
Hey, I have new news - I've had a couple requests from some Detroit fans to have their membership transferred to our local club! Our membership continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
